SPK Suction Plates

Schmalz has developed the round suction plate for handling of objects with very rough or structured surfaces such as ornamental glass, checker plate, and broken natural stone.

This robust and wear-resistant suction plate consists of flexible MOS sealing ring made of EPDM and aluminium base plate in order to withstand the pressures of tough working conditions.

Although the SPK has a large suction area, 55 mm to 250 mm diameter, in order to handle these heavy loads, design innovations have also resulted unused suction plates being deactivated by sensing valves when handling smaller items.

• Lower side of base plate with elastomer insert to prevent damage to work pieces
• Sealing lip made of flexible EPDM for optimal adaptation to structured surfaces
• Sealing ring clipped securely into the mounting plate for quick replacement of the sealing element
• Support on the bottom resulting on no permanent deformation of thin-walled work pieces
• Low intrinsic volume for very short cycle times applications
• Wide range of different diameters
