Bellows Suction Pads SAB (1.5 Folds)

Schmalz has developed the SAB round, bellows suction pad with 1.5 folds for handling of very thin steel and aluminium sheets as well as pre-shaped metal sheet parts as the bellows shape permits optimum adaptation of the suctionpad.

The suction pads, with sizes ranging from 22 mm to 125 mm, and are vulcanised to the connection nipple resulting in high strength suction. This robust and wear-resistant suction pad is made of NBR with a special slot and inner support that prevents the oily metal sheets from slipping and permits precise positioning of metal sheets, which is ideal for punching press applications.

• Wide range of diameters for a wide range of work piece sizes and shapes
• 1.5 folds result in optimum adaptation and sealing to curved work pieces and very good damping
• Stiff top fold resulting in good resistance to horizontal forces and lateral acceleration
• No deep-drawing of the work piece; capable of handling high lateral forces even on oily metal sheets
• Nipple vulcanized to pad which prevents machine damage and downtimes due to lost suction pads
