Highest quality butterfly valves

Designed and manufactured in Brescia, Northern Italy. four manufacturing facilities ensure high quality process valves are produced by Omal Automation. The latest manufacturing technologies allow maximum control in the various production processes. This ensures zero defects and therefore Omal can quickly reacts to developing market needs.

Omal Automation Butterfly valves are designed specifically for automation and therefore can handle high cycles in challenging environments. With a 200-micron epoxy coating they are suitable for coastal environments. As a standard the lockable handle ensures the compliance to occupational health and safety and the ISO5211 top mount configuration ensures the ease of changing between manual and actuator without the necessity of mechanical alterations.

Butterfly valve applications

Corrosion-resistance, ATEX-compliance and couplings for every drive-type means that Omal Automation butterfly valves from Hytec achieve extremely high performance in numerous applications across sub-Saharan Africa.

Butterfly valves are used the chemical, petrochemical & biogas industries; as well as water and wastewater, textile, steel works, oil & gas, marine, mining, food & beverage; automotive; and energy and power generation. These valves are also used on modular skids for gas mixing in blast furnaces.

Highest safety and environmental standards compliance

Omal Automation butterfly valves are certified to the following performance, safety and environmental standards:

  • ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems)
  • ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems)
  • ATEX Directive for use in potential explosive environments
  • GAS distribution systems in accordance with EN 13774
  • Directive 97/23/EC - PED (Pressure Equipment Directive)
  • SIL determinations

All butterfly valves and other process valves are designed with exceptional attention to detail and advanced manufacturing technologies. This allows Omal Automation, and Tectra Automation as distributor, to provide valves for precise operation and with guaranteed quality, reliability and efficiency in your operation. They are manufactured to “Empower Performance”.

Additional information on butterfly valves from Bosch Rexroth Africa

Stainless Steel Butterfly Valves: Working temperature from 0° to 150 °C and a working pressure of PN 6.

Lug Type Butterfly Valves: The shaft comes in 2 pieces which increases ease of disc maintenance and allows a high kV due to a central section of the disk being thinner than a valve with a single shaft.

Wafer Type Butterfly Valves: The valve disc circumference has a lapped surface, which provides better tightness and less wear of the liner. Lower friction reduces torque requirements.

Metal-Metal Type Butterfly Valves: Constructed with high-quality materials, like nickel-plated steel, spheroidal cast iron and aluminium paint.

PVC Butterfly Valves: Ideal for use with double acting actuators and, on the standard version, the body is constructed from reinforced polypropylene fibreglass, PVC-C butterfly and EPDM seal.
