Aluminium Actuator with Hand Wheel

Aluminium Actuator with Hand Wheel from OMAL Automation, available only from Tectra Automation, can be integrated in double acting and spring return aluminium actuators. The hand wheel is designed to equip quarter-turn pneumatic actuators with a manual emergency hand wheel.

The manual emergency hand wheel acts on the pneumatic actuator’s primary mechanical transmission. The torques applied to the hand wheel are according to UNI EN 12570-2001, and it releases output torque of equal value of the actuator’s nominal torque. Designed for long life, their composition includes Stainless steel, Steel Alloy+Nitrilic Rubber, Alluminium Alloy, Steel Alloy, Nitrilic rubber (NBR) and Acrylic plastic.

  • Ideal for both double acting and spring return actuators
  • Output torque same as nominal torque
  • Acts on actuator’s primary mechanical transmission
  • Compliant with latest international standards and technology
  • Material composition designed for long life

For manual operation, the valve opening and closing functions are dependent on whether a double acting or spring return actuator is used. The actions are converse – turning the hand wheel counter clockwise pushes the screw and piston inwards, opening the valve on the double acting actuator and closing it on the spring return version. When the hand wheel is turned counter clockwise the opposite reaction in each occurs.
