Frequently asked questions:

What is a non-return valve?
A non-return valve ensures that pneumatic pressure flows in a single direction and fitted to prevent reversed flow, also known as backflow.
What is the difference between a check valve and a non-return valve?
Typically speaking they are the same and are often referred to by both names. To be specific, a non-return valve allows the flow of pressure in one direction where a check valve is modernised, providing the same function and automatically prevents backflow.
Our non-return valves are check valves due to their acrylonitrile butadiene rubber seals that prevent backflow.
Where do you place a non-return valve?
Our Aventics non-return valves can be placed almost anywhere including in tight spaces and at any angle
How do you identify a non-return valve?
A non-return valve should have an “X” sign on the head of the spindle.
