Frequently asked questions
What is the purpose of a battery pump?
A battery operated pump can be used to transfer liquids quickly and efficiently, particularly in applications requiring access to remote sites where electricity or permanent pump infrastructure is not available. It’s ideal for powering hydraulic tools and small cylinders on-site, or transferring/dewatering fluids (water, chemicals or oil) in remote or tight spaces.
What are the benefits of a battery pump?
A battery pump is portable and quick to set up. Due to its cordless and engine-free design, it’s safer. It’s a good choice for field service applications, maintenance tasks and spill/dewatering tasks.
How do electric battery operated pumps work?
In a battery powered pump, a rechargeable battery powers a CD motor, which drives the pump head to move fluid. The motor speed is controlled by an onboard controller and switch, while sensors and valves regulate pressure and flow.
How long does a battery pump last?
Our PE10 Series 2-speed electric and battery operated pump typically delivers 15 minutes of continuous operation at 700 bar on a single battery.
