Tectra Automation appointed Paul Springorum as General Manager, effective January 2022. He brings a wealth of leadership experience and vast industry knowledge to his new role.
Paul’s career began in 1996 when he was appointed as a Sales Representative at GEC Alsthom. He has since climbed the management ranks at leading global companies, including: Group Schneider, Shaw Controls of the Zest Electric Group and Schneider Electric SA. For the past four years, Paul has served as the Managing Director of Knorr-Bremse SA, where he was responsible for the company’s strategic development, including BBBEE level improvement, shareholding structure, localisation and process improvement. “Taking a company from BEE level 7 to level 2 in four years was a tough but very rewarding challenge,” he says, reflecting on his career highlights.
Noting that experience is among the most important tools for any effective leader, and is gleaned over time, while also broadening one’s knowledge, skills and wisdom, Paul says: “I endeavour to offer up all these attributes, along with a positive attitude, to build on the already strong leadership capability of my team. I commit to supporting sustainable growth for Tectra Automation and cementing the company’s reputation as a top employer and ensuring a highly profitable shareholder investment.”
Bosch Rexroth South Africa Group CEO, Chris Riley extended a warm welcome to Paul. “We wish Paul success in his new position. His extensive experience will benefit not only Tectra Automation, but the whole Bosch Rexroth South Africa Group,” he said.
