Werner Joubert has been appointed General Manager at Hydraulic & Automation Warehouse (HAW) effective 12 October 2017.
Reporting directly to Tillmann Olsen, Werner is tasked with ensuring that HAW achieves its strategic and financial objectives, as well as cultivating and continuing long-term client relationships and managing the HAW portfolio. He would like to conduct the latter in such a way that new products to market can be introduced at competitive pricing.
His Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Diploma in Marketing, along with 17 years’ experience in the hydraulics industry, 11 of them at a managerial level, makes Werner the ideal candidate for the position.
Prior to this appointment Werner was Branch Manager at HAW Johannesburg for 7 years, preceded by a 5 year stint as Branch Manager in Cape Town. Before that, he got his managerial feet as Sales Manager at HAW Johannesburg for 2 years.
Describing himself as having exceptional people skills and product knowledge (which will aid him in his management of 63 personnel), Werner cites Cape Town as his favourite holiday destination and mountain biking as his preferred leisure activity.
“I have the utmost confidence that my management team and staff will continue delivering exceptional results and carrying out excellent service delivery,” says Werner. “I look forward to working with a dynamic team – their loyalty, commitment and hard work has always been evident, and they have played their role in contributing to HAW’s amazing results to date.”
In conclusion, Werner states that he is both proud and excited to be part of the strong HAW team. “I look forward to many successful years ahead with them, and I also aim to build relationships with the other Group Companies in order to contribute to the success of the Group.”
