NAMPO 2017: The best yet

NAMPO enjoyed record numbers of visitors (78648) this year, and Hydraulics & Automation Warehouse (HAW) had a hugely successful exhibit.

“We’ve always seen NAMPO as a great showcase for us, and this year, we scaled up our exhibition presence, with an even bigger stand at a better location,” explains Werner Joubert, Branch Manager, HAW. The result? “Our busiest NAMPO yet. With more people visiting our stand, we got greater product exposure.”

HAW’s main product focus this year was the 210 bar agriculture tie rod cylinders; air brake fittings, nylon tubes and suzi coils for the transport industry; as well as our SALAMI range of gear pumps and control valves.

“Our focus for NAMPO 2017 was to interact with existing resellers and distributors in the Free State area and to promote our products in order for them to generate more business,” Joubert explains. “We also wanted to demonstrate our full commitment to OEMs of agricultural equipment.”

Events like NAMPO also serve as an excellent barometer to current market requirements. “We are exploring customised hydraulic kits tailored to customers’ specific requirements for agricultural implements as well as the truck and trailer business,” Joubert concludes.

NAMPO illustrated how product vendors and end users can work together to overcome the tough economic conditions facing our agricultural sector, and HAW is playing a central role in equipment optimisation efforts to this end.
