This year’s Managers’ Conference was held at Monte Casino in Johannesburg on 28 October, followed by a visit to Pure Hope School on 29 October. The theme this year was ‘Shape Africa’, in line with the Group’s ethos: Move Now, Drive Tomorrow and Shape Africa.
106 delegates from all Bosch Rexroth South Africa Group branches were present, as were Adnene Gharbi (Bosch Rexroth Morocco), Ait Yacine Abderrahim (Bosch Rexroth Tunisia), Michael Weissenburg (Bosch Rexroth Germany) and Jens Soenke (Robert Bosch Africa).
The conference was opened by CEO Tillmann Olsen. The German Ambassador to South Africa, Dr Martin Schäefer, was the keynote speaker. His presentation made it clear what drives Germany to invest in South Africa and Africa.
The day’s conference was interesting, posed challenging questions, and really showed Bosch Rexroth South Africa Group of Companies’ aim to “seek excellence”. The day was filled with integrated Group collaboration and positive forward-thinking engagement that will enable us to Shape Africa.
The second day of the Managers’ Conference was spent with the children from the Pure Hope School in Pretoria. Playing and bonding with these children from underprivileged backgrounds was a very rewarding experience for all.
