Hytec’s Fifth Charity Golf Day

Hytec South Africa hosted 122 players in the field at its 5th Annual Charity Golf Day, at the Modderfontein Golf Club on 20 of September 2018. Our golf day is used to raise money for various charities nominated by our customers. This year we were able to donate a total of R300 000 to seven incredible NGOs!

Outotec JHB drew the main prize winner – the New Jerusalem Children’s Home. The Home is a place of safety for abandoned and abused, orphaned and vulnerable children. Based in Midrand, it has sheltered more than 1 000 children since its establishment in September 2000.

Part of Hytec’s tradition is to invite a celebrity to our Charity Golf Day every year. It was an honour to have to retired Protea all-rounder, Fanie de Villers, as our MC on the day. Two of our customers had the opportunity to play a round of golf with this South African sporting hero.

Thank you to McCarthy Land Rover Midrand which gave each participant a courtesy Jaguar/Land Rover driving experience. It was a wonderful day and we love spending the day with our customers on the golf course, enjoying some relaxation, laughs, and healthy competition.

Hytec has donated over R1.2 million to various charities over the years. We are humbled to be able to give back to our communities. Without the continued support and community spirit of our customers this would not be possible. THANK YOU!

This year our beneficiaries were:

  • New Jerusalem Children’s Home (Outotec JHB) – R70 000
  • SPCA Edenvale (ELB) – R55 000
  • Re-Connect Today (Outotec JHB) – R45 000
