Hydraulic and Automation Warehouse (HAW) and Hytec Fluid Technology (HFT), two leading hydraulic components and filtration solutions providers within the Bosch Rexroth Africa Group, recently combined their operations in Cape Town. The combined branch, located at Milner Street, Paarden Eiland, offers a wider range of hydraulic products, services and expertise to customers in the Western Cape.
The incorporation of HFT into HAW’s existing branch marks the first establishment of an HFT branch outside of Johannesburg. The decision to combine the two companies was a natural one. “Both HAW and HFT serve customers within the marine, oil and gas, agriculture, fishery, transport, and OEM industries. The companies complement each other as customers who use HFT products often require HAW products, and vice versa,” says Werner Joubert, General Manager of HAW and HFT.
Newly appointed HAW Cape Town Branch Manager, Werner Steyn, will report to Joubert and is responsible for managing sales and developing the business. “We are taking business to the next level. The combined branch is a significant step towards achieving strategic goals, creating and expanding on a one-stop shop for hydraulic products and services,” comments Steyn.
Through digitalisation, HAW and HFT can function from the same sales counter and split their stock into separate areas to serve their own large customer base. Both companies’ branding is displayed on the building, indicating that they operate as separate entities within the branch. Through the combined branch, HAW and HFT will increase their stock holding on new and exciting products, as well as offer support to current and future customers.
HAW is one of the largest distributors of hydraulic components in southern Africa and is a specialist supplier of hydraulic products and services, HFT provides a total fluid management solution to the fluid power industry. Both HAW and HFT offer a wide range of products and services to meet their customers’ needs.
