Ed Sheeran’s show goes on thanks to Bosch Rexroth South Africa

Hytec South Africa and Tectra Automation helped assemble the stage for Ed Sheeran’s recent Cape Town show of his worldwide Divide Tour!

The music sensation’s stage for the global tour utilises a Bosch Rexroth hydraulic jack system to assist constructing the stage without the use of cranes that are too large to work inside stadiums.

On Sunday evening, 24 March, the Bosch Rexroth South Africa team was contacted to supply a vital bus coupler that required replacement. Without it, the stage could not be erected. With spare parts available at the Rexroth HUBB in Johannesburg, a Tectra Automation Manager sourced the part and got it delivered to Cape Town in time at 11pm that night.

Working through the night, our team ensured the show could go on!

Bosch Rexroth’s hydraulic jack technology allowed the stage to be constructed without the use of cranes, which could not be brought into the stadium.
