The day after our annual Managers’ Conference, managers from the various Group companies participated in the Pure Hope School’s Phendula Day. This formed part of the Group’s pledge to assist the school and LIFT Clinic in 2019.
We guided children from the local Plastic View Township around a pop-up shop where they could spend paper money called ‘Phendula’ on sweets, food, clothes and other items. The amount of Phendulas received by each child is calculated by how much recycled material they collect.
In addition, managers were given different roles and responsibilities to ensure that the day was a success. Face painting and other fun activities were all manned by Bosch Rexroth SA Group staff. We would like to thank Pure Hope School for allowing us the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these children.

Sweets, sandwiches, crisps and other ‘delicacies’ were on ‘sale’, but only in exchange for Phendula.
BRSA managers not only helped with activities pertaining to the Pure Hope children, but were actively involved in a massive clean-up.
