Whether customers require a complete component refurbishment or onsite inspections, troubleshooting and maintenance, the Bosch Rexroth South Africa Group will meet our customers’ needs for maximum uptime and performance.
Both Group Companies are Bosch Rexroth-Certified Service Centres of Competence, with the processes, infrastructure, qualification and management abilities to perform service work to the quality standards specified by the worldwide Bosch Rexroth Service Centre grades.
All hydraulic equipment is subjected to stringent calibration, analysis, testing and fault-finding assessments by highly skilled and trained employees. Our repair teams are supported with all the required official technical specifications and manuals, all centralised on Bosch Rexroth’s SAP program for increased efficiency and service quality, including parts lists and repair procedures.
Worn and damaged components are replaced as standard, as are all seals, bearings and bolts, and any other component in need of replacing – all with genuine OEM parts, geared towards a fast, convenient refurbishment service in line with all OEM specifications.
At Hytec Engineering, a state-of-the-art workshop facility provides cylinder refurbishments for mines and industries from across Africa. It has the ability to provide an end-to-end repair service for any hydraulic cylinder size, with a factory floor boasting a range of specialised technology. These include a 1 350 000 Nm stripping bench; 3 test benches to verify performance, safety and compliance; as well as new 3-stage painting booths offering a variety of finishes, including specially formulated epoxy0based paints used in marine and other corrosive applications.
Hytec South Africa oversees the repair of the Group’s motors, pumps, valves and gearboxes at its new, cutting-edge workshop at the Rexroth HUBB.
Four pump and motor test stations, from 90 kW to 600 kW, are used on the pumps and motors. Each test station is connected to data recording stations, including data acquisition system CADASYS, with all results saved to the Bosch Rexroth server for easy retrieval worldwide. Two valve test stations are used in the service offering, one for standard valves and the other to test proportional and servo valves.
The gearbox repair facility is used to carry out repairs to all Bosch Rexroth gearboxes and mobile shovel gearboxes from ZF, O&K, Stiebel, Siebenaar and Zollern, among others, using only original parts.
In addition to an end-to-end repair service of hydraulic equipment, our support offering also includes a complete range of matched exchange units, for all equipment except hydraulic valves, in order to help limit downtime on customer sites during the repair.
Another important pillar of the Group’s hydraulic support services is our containerised hose workshops, developed by Group Company Hytec Services Africa. Containerised hose workshops provide a comprehensive mine site hose and fittings service to Bosch Rexroth’s mining customers.
Its focus goes beyond hydraulic hose and fittings, acting as an onsite branch to facilitate hydraulic repairs at mine sites too. Workshop services include the hydraulic cylinder service exchange programme and the supply of new pumps, filtration systems, drives, valves, piston motors and hydraulic maintenance tools, or providing services for them.
All repairs and refurbishments are according to Bosch Rexroth and OEM specifications and carry a 12-month warranty.
