Bosch Rexroth AG donated a Sytronix demo rig to the Bosch Rexroth South Africa Group of Companies. The demo rig was a gift to celebrate the inauguration of the Rexroth HUBB – the Group’s new building in Kempton Park.
Sytronix is used on the latest range of imported injection moulding machines. It is a smart interplay of hydraulics and electronics that generates hydraulic power on demand. This enables it to maintain the ideal motor speed without using more motor power than necessary, leading to energy efficiency and cost-cutting. It also reduces noise levels to almost half of that experienced by conventional power units.
“As the Sytronix rig highlights the combination of Rexroth hydraulic and electric drive technologies, it was the perfect gift,” says Kevin Lombard, General Manager, Tectra Automation. “This rig now enables Bosch Rexroth South Africa to offer training to existing Sytronix users and to demonstrate the technology to customers looking for energy-efficient hydraulic drive solutions.”
The rig, which is available to Group employees, its customers and educational institutions, is mounted on wheels. This allows for removal from its training centre base and easy relocation to anywhere in the building or to a customer’s premises for demonstrations or training.
The Sytronix Demo Rig gifted by the Bosch Rexroth Board for the inauguration of the Rexroth HUBB building on 18 October 2018.
