Bosch Rexroth Africa further expands African footprint

Bosch Rexroth Africa Development, a Bosch Rexroth Africa company, has appointed a new distributor in Zimbabwe. The company, Combined Technical Services, will be the Group’s second distributor in the country under an agreement that will be reviewed in 2025 for further extension.

Combined Technical Services was founded in 2006 and is recognised as a Local Enterprise Development Partner (LEDP) to a major mine in Zimbabwe. The new distributor will be tasked with the service and support of hydraulic equipment used on mines.

The partnership presents mutual benefits for both companies. Bosch Rexroth Africa benefits from an existing footprint and could potentially expand into the northern and eastern regions of Zimbabwe. They will have an on-site presence on major mines. For Combined Technical Services, this is an opportunity to expand its footprint through product and service delivery, with constant support being offered by representatives at Bosch Rexroth Africa Development. Furthermore, the distribution partnership means that Bosch Rexroth Africa has the ability to grow its market share in southern Africa.

The wider expansion into Zimbabwe forms part of the Group’s mission to leave no customer behind in 2023 by making themselves more accessible to customers across the continent. “We believe that Combined Technical Services is a suitable partner for the distribution of our hydraulic products and services in Zimbabwe. We look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership in the years to come,” said Bosch Rexroth Africa Development Manager, Petrus Viljoen.
