Variable speed pump drives – Sytronix

Our portfolio of variable speed pump drives connect standard components from hydraulic and electric systems to form customised, intelligent & cost-efficient systems.

Our range includes Sytronix & electro-hydraulic control systems, delivering dynamic and high-precision control. These are designed to ensure less current, less noise and lower operating costs.

The range also includes pressure control systems, including:

  • EcP – a good option for small to mid-sized machines, designed to meet strict noise limits while ensuring smooth operation; & DRn – a powerful, dynamic and cost-effective solution for larger drives from 4 kW & up, using a frequency converter to manage the operating speed).
  • P/Q control systems, consisting of a synchronous servo motor with permanent magnet & an easy-to-operate frequency converter. Thanks to the use of internal gear pumps, these are particularly quiet.

What is a hydraulic pump system?

A hydraulic pump system is used in industrial and mobile machines and converts mechanical energy into hydraulic energy (it moves fluid to transmit power) where precise motion, heavy lifting or high force are needed.

How do hydraulic pump systems work?

In a typical hydraulic pump system, a motor drives a pump that draws fluid from a reservoir, pressurises it and sends it through valves and lines to an actuator, which converts the fluid pressure into a mechanical motion (e.g. lifting, pressing, pushing or rotating).

Types of hydraulic pumps

Bosch Rexroth offers an extensive range of Industrial Hydraulic Pumps – over 60 pumps – to power your hydraulic pump systems.

These include:

  • Variable axial piston hydraulic pumps
  • External gear hydraulic pumps
  • Internal gear hydraulic pumps
  • Radial piston hydraulic pumps
  • Hydraulic vane pumps
  • Fixed axial piston hydraulic pumps
  • Gerotor hydraulic pumps

How can I choose the right hydraulic pump?
Choosing the right hydraulic pump depends on a number of factors, from the duty cycle to the pressure and flow, and involves many trade-offs. It’s best to consult a specialist and define your unique requirements, so they can recommend a solution that offers correct sizing and compatibility while optimising performance and total cost of ownership. Bosch Rexroth’s expertise encompasses single hydraulics components and end-to-end hydraulic services, enabling us to support you from conceptualisation, design and engineering to modernisation. With our wide selection of high-quality products, we ensure quick access to parts, reducing downtime.
